QUALITY CARE FOR HAWAIIAN KEIKI

SERVING MAUI, MOLOKA`I AND LANA`I!

In October 2016, MFSS was awarded funding to provide the Quality Care for Hawaiian Keiki (QCHK) Child Care Subsidy Program.   Funded by the Administration of Children and Families, Office of Child Care, the QCHK program goals are to help Native Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian families become more economically self suffecient while also  helping their children to become school ready.

With this in mind, the QCHK program will help families by providing assistance to pay for child care , for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. Child care can include, Licensed Family Child Care Homes,  Infant and Toddler Centers, Preschools, Before/Afterschool Programs, Intercession care and  well as License-Exempt providers.   Our focus on school readiness also includes helping child care providers on Maui and Moloka`i with any needs that they might have in the areas of training, health, safety and licensing.
